The other day it was really hot here. I mean it was really frigging hot. The Facebook status updates were a mix of the “its 45 degrees here”, “It’s 48 degrees here”, and various photographs of car thermometer readings and mercury thermometers and digital thermometers and web shots of the weather sites updates etc. There was even the obligatory “oh it’s freezing” har har. In the midst of all this stuff my Dad’s status update read “lip balm?”. It was the funniest thing I’ve come across in a long time and caused me to almost suffocate with laughter, so I thought I’d share.

That’s the man I married! It was an ‘in’ joke, our kids all watched ‘Three Amigos’ many times. We call our Grandaughter ‘the singing bush’ because of this film. New girlfriends are put through the ordeal of watching it, while we all laugh and talk about the funny bit coming up. So when my husband posted ‘Lip balm’ like Steph we almost died of laughter!

I made up a song about lip balm to the tune of Tom Jones’ “Sex Bomb.” It’s quite epic.
Now I’m singing it. So catchy!
The weather is going crazy. It was crazy hot here on Saturday, and today it’s back to cold-enough-to-hide-under-the-sheets again.
