About Me

Welcome to my blog! If you are reading this then this means that you at least have some of the same interests that I do and that’s great and I’m so happy that you are hear so I can share with you some of my own experiences and hope that you too will do the same, I welcome input and comments, so please feel free to do so.

My name is Steph by the way and I have one grown child who is now a full time student at OSU whom I am quite proud of. Being a student at OSU is a big accomplishment for my son because he started off life without even a high school education and was determined to turn that around and was able to get his GED, go to community college and did so well that he was able to transfer over to a university. Not bad for a kid who dropped out of high school.

I do have two other kids, my two little dogs, one is a little Shitzu named Snuggles and the other is a Papilon/Pomeranian mix named Neko. Both of my boys are adopted and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Shelter dogs are the way to go, they seem to know you have chosen them out of all the others and show so much more love and appreciation than those you may have gotten the more “regular” way. I’ve had dogs all my life and it’s amazing the difference there is with dogs you adopt. It also makes you feel exceptionally good that you took the extra step to adopt. I highly recommend it. These two little guys are like my shadows, they go everywhere I go and always at my side, it’s amazing the love they give and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Other than my dogs I have a variety of interests that I hope to be able to share with you through my blog. I love the outdoors and all that nature has to offer and love doing just about anything that includes the outdoors from gardening to camping, walks in the park with my dogs to hiking in the mountains or strolls on the beach. I also love to try and stay healthy as best as I can by making sure I eat right and get the exercise that I need, so there are a lot of things I have tried to try to keep in shape, some I’ve liked and some I’ve absolutely hated.

Some of my hobbies include gardening, cooking healthy foods, creative writing, photography, creative crafts of all kinds, graphic arts, collecting objects from nature which often I will try to use in different craft projects.

I also love to travel whether it’s just in my own area or other states and even out of the country. Although I’ve not gone as many places as I would like to have gone, I still have had the opportunity to visit some interesting places that were once on my “bucket list” and hope you will enjoy reading about them. Travel is a great way to meet new people, discover new foods, discover new cultures, even within your own country it’s amazing to see how different people are with their customs, foods and interests.

Thanks for reading,
