LITTLE TRICKS I’VE USED TO NOT LOOK SO TIRED

Let’s face, there are going to be times when you are just simply worn out for one reason or another, but you still have to face the day. Many of us have to still go to work even if we are tired, the world moves on and so do we. However, when we are tired, it often shows in our face, especially our skin and eyes can suffer from the effects of fatigue. So what can you do about this? Well, over the years I’ve discovered a variety of really quick ways in which you can perk up those eyes and get rid of that tired look. Here’s just a few little tricks that I like to use when my fatigue is trying to get the better of me.

Whenever my eyes are really exposing the fact I’m tired there are a few different options I like to be able to choose from. A really quick way to brighten up the eyes is to use some navy colored mascara on my top lashes and then add a thin line of white eyeliner on my lower lids. This is a great way to offset any redness in your eyes.

Now, when there’s an issue with puffiness of the skin under my eyes there are a couple of options I like trying to get rid of that puffiness that really makes the entire face look awful. I like to take used tea bags and gently press them under my eyes to help reduce the puffiness. Now it needs to be tea that is caffeinated because it’s the caffeine that does the trick. It seems that caffeine is a vascoconstrictor and this means it helps to shrink the blood vessels and then minimizes both puffiness and dark circles under the eyes.

Another little trick I like to use is make sure that I always have a couple of chilled teaspoons in my fridge. This way if I’m in a hurry and need a quick fix for redness and puffiness, I can take the chilled teaspoons and rest them on my eyes. It really does help to quickly get rid of the puffiness and redness.

I find that by dressing up my lips I can also at the same time wake up my tired looking eyes. The best way to do this is to use a nice pink lip gloss for my lips. You’d be amazed at just how much a good pink gloss can transform you, in just seconds.

Another quick fix I’ve noticed that works with weary, tired eyes and that’s by applying three layers of mascara on my top lashes and only one thin layer to the bottom. You don’t want to put more on the bottom because that only makes your eyes look even more tired.

Now when it comes to my skin that might look worn out and tired early in the morning there are a few things that I like to do. One is to take some ice cubes and add a drop of both lemon juice and olive oil onto each ice cube I plan on using on my skin. Then I take the ice cube or cubes and rub them all over my face. Yes, it’s chilly, but it’s an eye opener for sure. But the cold will reduce any swelling in your face and then the lemon acid will tighten the skin as the olive oil adds moisture to your face.

Sometimes like all of us we wake up looking washed out and it seems no matter what kind of make-up we put on it doesn’t help. What I’ve discovered is that sometimes you need to put on clothes that are skin flattering more so than make-up. One of the best accent colors that you can wear to perk up your skin is pink. So wearing a pink top or even just adding a pink scarf to your outfit is going to help give your skin a healthier glow.

Finally, a really quick and easy trick to just give you an instant perk is simply by adding a glittery necklace and earrings to your outfit. These two items will automatically make you look more alert and even feel better because they simply look cheery.
